Darren
has been interested in film making from a very young
age which stemmed from his love of science fiction
movies. It was this interest in the film making
medium that inspired Darren to become involved in a
number of amateur film and stage productions
throughout the 1980s and 1990s which in turn paved
the way for his future film making endeavours.
Despite
Darren's keen interest in film making, it wasn't
until the year 2000 where he finally had the
opportunity to make his first film. Ironically he had
barely started into the foray of film making before
being asked by others to assist in their productions
as well. As a result of this, Darren has amassed an

Darren
never went to film school and has no formal training
in the media, although in 1985 he completed a CAE
course in Stage Directing. His film work is a
combination of imagination, enthusiasm and
"knowing" how he wants something to look, a
quality which is important when making decisions in a
production.
